Justė is new to Luxembourg, she moved to the Grand Duchy couple of months ago and she quickly enrolled in a intensive French course at Prolingua. Let`s discover what she actually thinks about her experience with us.
Interview with Ryliškytė Justė
Tell us little bit about yourself
My name is Justė (in French it would be Justine). Originally I am from Lithuania – one of the three Baltic countries. I love arts, fashion and traveling. I can be called a “love migrant” because I followed my love to Luxembourg and it’s been a few months since I`ve been living in Grand Duchy.
Why did you decide to study French?
First of all, my goal was to integrate in Luxembourg as soon as possible. I already knew some German and English. So I had to choose between Luxembourgish and French. I felt that French is more romantic, so I decided to start with it.
Why did you choose to study at Prolingua?
Prolingua was very convenient with my schedule as it was the only school which offered intensive courses during the summer period.
Tell us little bit about your French class
French was a challenge to me and still is. The hardest part for me is pronunciation because my native language, Lithuanian, is very much different from it.
We had two different teachers during the course and they were both always very attentive. Also my classmates were willing to help each other.
Sometimes during the class I was really lost and an explanation in English would have helped me more. I did not understand everything straight off and I should have worked harder at home not to have any gaps.
What is your favourite French word and why?
From the first day I fell in love with “Je ne sais pas” (smiles)
This phrase still helps me in awkward “French” situations.
