Meet the students of our Summer Academy programme

Margot, Anja and Andrea are students of our Summer Academy programme. They are spending two weeks with Prolingua improving their English skills. Before the class we sat for a short interview and students were pretty confident expressing themselves in English.
So why do you decide to enroll in the Summer Academy?
Margot: It was my own decision to take English class. I participated in a French language course of the Summer Academy 2 years ago and came back to English class this time.
Andrea: This is my second year at the Summer Academy. I took German langauge course last year, so I knew the program. I study at the European School and participating in the Summer Academy helps me not to lose the language skills during the summer break.
What is do you enjoy most during Summer Academy classes?
Anja: I like language vocabulary games which we play at the end of the day. We are given certain letters and we have to come up with as many as words possible. This is a really exciting game. Next week we will do a common project which is also interesting.
Andrea: I like word association games, also having a coffee break with croissants is a nice part. (smiles)
How the Summer Academy is different from your school classes?
Margot: During my English classes at school it is the teacher who talks most of the time and we listen to her. At Prolingua we are encouraged to talk more and to express ourselves in English.
Anja: At school we do lots of written exercises and it is not as interactive as it is in the Summer Academy. We prefer to express what we think more than just doing excercises, which we could also do at home.
They both agree that good English skills will allow them to watch series on Netflix in original version. Particularly Anja expressed her interest in Sherlock Holmes series.
Prolingua wishes Margot, Anja and Andrea a good continuation of their studies.
